Do You Understand?

People seem to believe
Without an extra thought
That perfect means flawless

I prefer to believe
That the contrary is true
That perfect means problems

People should believe
With problems and shortcomings
That perfect means acceptance

I'd like you to believe
That if you accept what you are
Then perfect means you

Do you understand?

    1. I'm really glad to hear that, Kallista - Thank you. :)
And no worries, your comments mean the world to me, regardless of when you leave them.
Aside from that, it's taken me just as long to reply. :P
I hope the internet's back to good and friendly for you, now. ^^

I went to go enjoy your latest poem but saw it was taken down. :/ Will you be posting it again?

Likewise - It's always wonderful to hear from you, too. :)
I don't think so. I'd spent a long time trying to get some writing out of me, and managed something that wasn't quite a story but definitely strayed from poetry. At first, I was okay with it, but as I read back through it a couple of times... I think it freaked me out, a little. I didn't like the theme or the mood, and I just.. I don't know. It felt... wrong.
Maybe I'll come back across it at some point and change my mind. Until then, I hope to get some other writings done and posted (soon), if both time and my brain co-operate. :)
